Reinhard Fries
Reinhard Fries (born February 12, 1950 ) is a German veterinarian .
From 1968 he studied at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover . In 1975 he was promoted to Dr. med. vet. PhD . He then went temporarily to school as a teacher of biology and chemistry; From 1978 Fries was a research assistant and later an academic adviser at the Institute for Food Science, Meat Hygiene and Technology at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover.
In 1989 he completed his habilitation in Hanover; In 1993 he was appointed full professor at the Institute for Anatomy , Physiology and Hygiene at the University of Bonn .
In 1999 he accepted the professorship for meat hygiene at the Free University of Berlin .
