Reinhard Froehner

Reinhard Froehner (born February 16, 1868 in Dresden , † November 15, 1955 in Wilhelmshorst near Potsdam ) was a German veterinary historian.

Life

Reinhard Froehner studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Dresden . In 1889 he was one of the founders of the Corps Albingia Dresden . He completed his studies with a PhD. med. vet. and Dr. phil off. Initially, he briefly took on a position as a government veterinary councilor in the veterinary administration, after which he worked as a veterinary historian. At the University of Veterinary Medicine Berlin and the University of Berlin , he read about the history of veterinary medicine. He was the author of numerous veterinary history treatises. His three-volume work, Cultural History of Veterinary Medicine, is considered fundamental.
