Reinhard Göllner

Reinhard Göllner (born March 4, 1945 in Quedlinburg ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Göllner studied German and Catholic theology at the Ruhr University in Bochum . In 1979, the scientific college and later University of Hildesheim appointed him professor of Catholic theology. The university elected Göllner twice as its rector and prorector. In 1997 Göllner moved to the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where he held the chair for religious education and didactics until 2011 . Here, too, he was elected dean and vice dean of his faculty several times.

In addition, he was a member of the Central Committee of German Catholics and adviser to the German Bishops' Conference for ten years .
