Reinhard J. Voss

Reinhard J. Voss (* 1949 in Lenne (Schmallenberg) ) is a German historian, author and peace activist.

Life

Voss was born in the Sauerland . After graduating from high school in 1968, he studied history, Romance languages ​​and education in Giessen , Paris and Berlin. After marrying Margret Voß-Kräling, he moved to Berlin in 1972 . In 1976 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. From 1977 to 1981 he worked at the Catholic Academy in Klausenhof. After that he was coordinator of the “One World Ecumenical Initiative” until 1992. In the meantime, he also held teaching positions at the Evangelical University of Applied Sciences in Bochum from 1990 to 1991 and subsequently from 1992 to 1994 teaching positions at the University of Kassel and from 1999 to 2000 at the University of Osnabrück . From 2001 to 2008 Voss was among other things Secretary General of the German section of Pax Christi based in Bad Vilbel . Since mid-2008 he has been working as a freelance author, moderator and speaker. Voss has been chairman of Eirene (peace service) since 2015 .
