Reinhard Müller (composer)

Reinhard Müller ( pseudonyms : Reiny Roland, Pierre Orlande, Reinhold Müller ; born April 20, 1898 in Leipzig ; † 1991 ) was a German composer and arranger .

Müller had studied piano and harmony at the Leipzig Conservatory . In the 1940s he worked for the Sikorski publishing house in Leipzig and for various Berlin publishers as an arranger and editor. He arranged many works by well-known composers, including Michael Jary and Gerhard Winkler . After 1945 he worked for major music publishers in the Federal Republic of Germany . As a composer he was less prominent: In 1941, Monopol-Textheft 120 contained the song Kurz und gut with the text by Helmut Kießling , in 1942 his concert overture Festlicher Tag was published by Musikverlag Sikorski in Leipzig . His piece Glückspilz for wind instruments and orchestra was also composed at that time .
