Reinhard Müller (* 1953 in Krefeld ) is a German architect and urban planner . Since 2008 he has been CEO of EUREF AG.

Career

Reinhard Müller studied architecture at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and urban planning at the Technical University of Berlin . In 1984 he joined the Berlin Chamber of Architects. Müller has renovated numerous old buildings in Berlin, including the Fromberg house on Kurfürstenstrasse. Since 1985 he has been running REM, the Society for the Preservation of Townscapes and Monument Protection. When renovating buildings, Müller orientated himself on historical pictures and drawings.

From 1996 to 2004 Reinhard Müller was a member of the State Monument Council. With his Foundation for Monument Protection Berlin, founded in 1999, he raised millions of euros and used it to renovate the Brandenburg Gate and the Wannsee lido, among other things .

Müller is building the “European Energy Forum ”, the EUREF Campus, around the disused gasometer in Schöneberg . Since 2008 he has developed this into a climate-neutral urban district with research, university teaching, established companies and startups. Since 2020 he has been developing a second EUREF campus in Düsseldorf. He is chairman of the board of directors of EUREF AG.

Reinhard Müller is married and has a daughter.
