Reinhard Schütte (* 1952 ) is a former German handball player and member of the GDR national handball team . Sometimes it is also run under the name Rainer Schütte .

Life

He attended the children's and youth sports school in Magdeburg . Schütte was used 44 times in the GDR national handball team and achieved third place at the world championships with her in 1978. At the club level, Reinhard Schütte, nicknamed Reini Schütte , played for SC Magdeburg , with whom he was GDR champion in 1977 and cup winner in 1977 and 1978. In 1978 he won the European Championships with SC Magdeburg.

Since 1990 he has worked as a supervisor for the Bundesliga team of SC Magdeburg. In 2008 he suffered a stroke . His recovery process was accompanied by great public sympathy.

Awards

In 2001, when SC Magdeburg won the championship title, Schütte entered the city ​​of Magdeburg's golden book as team supervisor. Further entries were made in 2002 and 2007 on the occasion of winning the EHF Champions League . He was appointed honorary team leader of SC Magdeburg.
