Reinhard Stollreiter

Reinhard Stollreiter (born June 26, 1936 in Elbingerode (Harz) ) is a German choir director, university professor and honorary president of the Berlin Choir Association .

Life

School, training, studies, work

Reinhard Stollreiter received the first important suggestions for his later musical development during his school days in Wernigerode . Here his interest in choral singing was aroused and promoted. He received further impulses in the Berlin Mozart Choir . This was followed by a degree in trombone at the Berlin City Conservatory , training as a sound dramaturge, a traineeship at Sender Freie Berlin with a later permanent position as a sound engineer and finally a music education degree at the University of Education in Berlin. From 1977 to 1995 Reinhard Stollreiter worked there and later at the University of the Arts (UdK) as a professor. He directs the Amadeus vocal ensemble and the Cappella occasionum , both based in Berlin. In addition, he was President of the Berlin Choir Association from 1985 to 2009 and Vice President of the German Choir Association from 1993 to 2013 . In 2009 he was appointed honorary president of the Berlin Choir Association .

More volunteer work

Reinhard Stollreiter conducts seminars and workshops. For almost thirty years he successfully led a choir directing seminar of the Berlin Choir Association . He also does voluntary work in the Presidium of the Federal Association of German Choir Associations (BDC). Until 2006 he was a member of the main committee of the German Choir Competition, now the Advisory Board for the Choir of the German Music Council . For many years he was a member of the Berlin Ensemble for Early Music .
