Reinhard Wurzner

Reinhard Würzner (born September 20, 1959 in Goslar ) is a German doctor for laboratory medicine , hygiene and microbiology at the Medical University of Innsbruck .

Career

As the son of an industrial lawyer, Würzner did military service after graduating from high school . Then he began to study medicine at the Philipps University in Marburg . He moved to the University of New Brunswick , the University of Vienna and the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . After all, he was at the University of Cambridge and the Georg-August University of Göttingen . After the state examination and the approval doctorate he became Dr. med. (1986). For four years he was a scientific assistant in the Göttingen immunology department . From 1990 he spent three years researching at the Medical Research Council (UK) , first in immunochemistry at the University of Oxford , then in molecular immunopathology at Clare Hall, Cambridge . There he received his Ph.D. PhD. In the meantime, the State Medical Association of Lower Saxony granted recognition as a specialist in laboratory medicine in 1992 .

From Cambridge he went to the University of Innsbruck in 1993 . In 1995 he was also recognized as a doctor for hygiene and microbiology by the Tyrolean Medical Association . In 1997 he qualified as a professor in hygiene, microbiology and preventive medicine . The Medical University of Innsbruck appointed him associate professor in 1998 .
