Reinhard Weipert
Reinhard Weipert (born September 12, 1950 in Augsburg-Haunstetten-Siebenbrunn ) is a German Semitist .
Life
The son of Franz and Ingeborg Weipert, b. Jähn, after graduating from high school in 1969 , studied Semitic Studies at the University of Munich . After completing his doctorate in 1977, majoring in Semitic Studies. Minor subjects: Philology of the Christian Orient and Turkic Studies , he became a speaker at the Orient Institute in Beirut . In 1980 he became a research assistant at the Commission for Semitic Philology at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences . In 1981 he became a research assistant at the Institute for Semitic Studies at the University of Munich . After completing his habilitation in Semitic studies in 1987, he was appointed adjunct professor in 1997. He retired in 2016.
