Reinhold Schäfer

Reinhold Schäfer (born December 13, 1945 in Worms ) is a German computer scientist .

Life

Shepherd visited after the elementary school , the Gauss-Gymnasium Worms , where in 1966 he obtained a high school. He completed his studies in 1972 with a diploma in physics at the University of Mainz and received his doctorate in 1979 at the Institute for Biophysics. The title of his dissertation on the Benham effect in humans is: Investigation of the stimulus parameters in pattern-induced flicker colors .

After completing his studies, Schäfer worked as a group leader for scientific applications at Boehringer Ingelheim . In 1988 he became professor for databases and methods of artificial intelligence in the computer science department of the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences (now RheinMain University ). In 1989 he took over the project management of the "Wiesbaden Computer Integrated Laboratory" (WICIL), which conducts research in the field of full automation in the field of life sciences .
