Reinhold Stober

Reinhold Stober (born February 20, 1949 in Naumburg / Saale ) is a German surgeon . After special training in hand surgery , rescue medicine , trauma surgery and vascular surgery , he was appointed professor in Ulm in 1996 and headed the hand surgery center at the Hirslanden Clinic in Aarau (Switzerland) until 2016 .

Life

Reinhold Stober, whose father Wolfram Stober was also a surgeon, studied human medicine in Saarbrücken / Homburg and Tübingen from 1967 to 1973. In 1974 he completed his doctorate with honors ( summa cum laude ). After a short time as an assistant doctor at the Institute for Pathology in Pforzheim, Stober began his surgical and hand surgery specialist training in Cologne-Merheim with Wilhelm Schink in 1975 , which he completed in 1980. He then moved to the Ulm University Hospital , where he completed several special training courses by 1987. After completing his habilitation in Ulm, Stober was appointed head of the hand and microsurgery department at the Orthopedic Clinic at the St. Gallen Cantonal Hospital in 1987 . In 1989 he received full license to train in hand surgery. In 1996 the University of Ulm awarded Reinhold Stober the title of professor. In 2002, Stober took over the management of the Center for Hand Surgery at the Hirslandenklinik in Aarau, which he held until 2016. He is also active in the training of hand surgeons and prepares expert reports .
