Marc Marie Jean Perrodon (born August 31, 1878 in Vendôme , † February 22, 1939 in Beauvais ) was a French saber fencer .

Life

Marc Perrodon took part in three Olympic Games . In 1908 he was eliminated in London in the first round of the individual competition, while he just missed a medal win with the team in fourth. At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 he was eliminated again in the first round. With the team, however, he reached the final round, which he finished together with Jean Lacroix , Jean Margraff , Jean Mondielli , Henri de Saint Germain and Georges Trombert in second place behind Italy . Thus Perrodon won the silver medal. In 1924 in Paris he missed the re-entry into the final round in the team competition. In the individual, he moved into the semi-finals. In 1923 he was also vice world champion in The Hague . In 1912, 1914, 1922 and 1924 he won the French championships with the saber. At the national level, Perrodon was also successful as a marksman.

Perrodon was a professional soldier . He last served in the cavalry as a lieutenant-colonel .
