Reinier Pauw (* 1490 in Gouda ; † March 1547 ibid) was a Dutch politician.

He came from the Pauw family ; his parents were Hendrik Pauw, a member of the Goudaschen Vroedschap , and Sophie Nyncx. Reinier himself is mentioned as councilor of the Vroedschap and in 1523 and 1524 as Schepen . In 1540 he was elected mayor of his hometown. From 1541 to 1547 he was treasurer of Gouda and in 1540, 1543, 1545 and 1547 as councilor of the states of Holland .

Reinier Pauw married Aerlanda Fransdr in 1510 and Aleyda 't Hoen van Souburg in 1532. The Pauw family branch, which still exists today, comes from his first marriage. Reinier's son Adriaan Pauw moved to Amsterdam , where he became the governing mayor the year he died. His son was the important Dutch politician and Amsterdam regent Reinier Pauw .
