Reinoldijus Šarkinas

Reinoldijus Šarkinas (born July 16, 1946 ) is a Lithuanian economist, former central banker, politician, Lithuanian finance minister .

Life

1968 graduated Šarkinas the Diploma in Economics and acquired the specialty of Industrial Engineering at the Vilniaus universitetas . From 1968 to 1972 he worked at the chemical plant “Spindulys” in Vilnius as an engineer, from 1980 to 1982 as financial advisor to the Cuban Ministry of Education , from 1991 to 1995 as deputy to the finance minister of Lithuania , from 1995 to 1996 finance minister and from 1996 to 2011 as chairman of the board of Lietuvos bankas . His successor is the lawyer Vitas Vasiliauskas (* 1973).
