Brushwood
As Reisiger , horsemen , Reißige or Reisiger servant in were medieval armed servants or mounted escorts called. In the 16th century, this term was used to describe an (armed) rider as opposed to a foot soldier . They weren't considered mercenaries .
The term is derived from travel or journey , which used to mean something like "war trip ". Reisige (Reismanni, Reismen, Reisläufer ) were therefore those who had to undertake “journeys” (ie campaigns) at the Lord's command.
