The Relay Bay ( English for relay bay ) is an 8 km wide bay on the Pennell coast of East Antarctica Victoria Land . It is located between Islands Point and Penelope Point on the west side of Robertson Bay .
The by British polar explorer Victor Campbell led North group in the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) visited the bay in October 4, 1911. Name factor was the fact that the violent Eisverwerfungen in the bay, caused by Nielsen , the Ommanney , Crume and Reusch glaciers , forced the team to roll through stages: after transporting part of their equipment over a certain distance, they turned around to fetch the other part.
