Religious music

In contrast to secular music , sacred music or religious music is used to describe music that is composed or played for religious occasions or with a religious influence. In Christianity this particularly includes church music . B. Buddhist music .

In the ethnic religions , sacred music is a means of connecting with the gods. A magical evocation is supposed to be effected through singing and ritual dances .

In most religions, singing together is intended to convey a sense of community and convey religious content, especially when celebrating religious ceremonies .
