René Haller (born November 12, 1973 ) is a former Austrian football player .
Career
society
Haller began his career at SK Rapid Vienna . In September 1993 he made his debut for the first team of Rapid in the 1st division when he was in the starting line-up against FC Admira / Wacker on the tenth day of the 1993/94 season . In his first season with the professionals, he came to seven league appearances. In the 1994/95 season Haller was used 14 times in the top Austrian league. In the 1995/96 season there were five more Bundesliga appearances.
After he had played no role in the first half of the 1996/97 season, he moved to the second division VfB Mödling in January 1997 . For the Lower Austrians he made 14 appearances in the second division , in which he remained without a goal. With Mödling he had to relegate from the second highest division at the end of the season.
He then joined the 1997/98 season in the regional division Floridsdorfer AC . After a season in the regional league , he moved to the second division First Vienna FC for the 1998/99 season . In November 1998 he scored his first second division goal in a 1-0 win against SV Braunau . In his first season at Vienna, he came to 32 missions in which he scored three goals. In the 1999/2000 season it was used again 32 times. In the 2000/01 season he played 34 second division games, with Vienna he had to relegate from the second division at the end of the season after losing relegation to FC Lustenau 07 . Thereupon Haller returned to the also third class FAC.
Until the end of his career in 2010, he played in amateur football for FC Mistelbach , SV Stockerau , SC St. Martin , SC Nikitsch , SC Kleinwarasdorf and Inter ASC .
National team
Haller completed a game for the Austrian U-21 selection in June 1995 .
