Carl Fredrik Lillienberg

Carl Fredrik Lillienberg (born October 21, 1714 in Toftnäs, Finnveden ; † March 16, 1769 in Håringe on Bolmsö ) was a Swedish major general .

Life

Origin and family

Carl Fredrik was a member of the 1709 ennobled Swedish noble family Lilli mountain . His parents were Daniel Lillenberg (1675-1723) and Christina Margareta, née Stiernelou (1687-1767). The Swedish statesman Count Johan Georg Lillienberg (1713-1798) and the Swedish Lieutenant General Freiherr Erik Gustaf Lillienberg (1719-1770) were his brothers, the Swedish Lieutenant General Henrik Johan Aminoff (1680-1758) was his brother-in-law from 1726. Carl Fredrik married Ulrika Eleonora, née Bonde (1719–1790) in 1747 . The son Baron Carl Henrik Lillienberg (1748–1778), head of the Jönköping regiment, emerged from the marriage.

Career

Lillenberg began his career in the Swedish army in 1727 as a volunteer in the regiment of Colonel Jean Louis Bousquet (1664–1747) and in 1730 became his quartermaster. He was promoted in 1731 to Fourier , 1732 to Ensign and 1739 to lieutenant . In 1742 he switched to the Hälsing regiment as captain , led the attack on Ravijoki in the Finnish War and rose to major in the regiment in 1744. He became a Knight of the Order of the Sword in 1749 . In the Seven Years' War he took part in the theater of war in Pomerania and was promoted to colonel in 1760. In 1765 he was commander and probably also chief of the Regiment "Spens" in Stralsund and has the same year with the character as a major general his farewell get.

He was the heir to Håringe in Bolmsö parish , where he was buried.
