René Imoberdorf
René Imoberdorf (born April 24, 1950 in Münster ; entitled to live there ) is a Swiss politician ( CSP ).
biography
Imoberdorf is a member of the Christian Social People's Party Upper Valais (CSPO). From 1992 to 2000 he was a local councilor in Visp and has been the mayor there since 2000. From 2001 to 2007 he was also a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Valais.
In the 2007 elections he was elected to the Council of States by the canton of Valais . There he became a member of the Business Audit Commission , the Commission for Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy, and the Commission for Transport and Telecommunications . After being re-elected, he did not run again in 2015.
Imoberdorf lives in Visp, is divorced, has two children and held the rank of major in the Swiss Army .
