René Kaech
René Edgar Kaech (born April 19, 1909 in Paris ; † April 19, 1989 ) was a Swiss doctor and writer .
Life
Kaech founded the Association of Swiss Doctors of Writers (ASEM) and was President of the Union Mondiale des Écrivains Médecins (UMEM) and co-founder of the World Union of Doctors of Writers (FISEM). From 1944 to 1972 he worked for Ciba in Basel, Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro. He wrote novels and poetry as well as medical literature mostly in French. In 1977 he received the title of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres .
