René Mantke

René Mantke is a German doctor and university professor. Since 2003 he has been chief physician of the Clinic for General and Visceral Surgery at the Brandenburg City Clinic and since October 28, 2014 the first Vice Dean for Research and Science at the Brandenburg Medical School, which was founded on that day .

Life

René Mantke studied human medicine from 1986 to 1992 at the Medical Faculty of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg . He then worked until 1998 as an assistant doctor at the clinic for general, visceral and vascular surgery at the university under the chief physician Hans Lippert , where he received his doctorate in 1994. med. PhD. In 1998 he completed his training as a specialist in surgery and stayed at the Magdeburg University Clinic. In 2001 the sub-specialization to visceral surgeon took place. A year later, in 2002, Mandke qualified as a professor and in 2003, meanwhile, he became senior physician under Professor Lippert, chief physician at the clinic for general and visceral surgery at the Brandenburg Municipal Hospital. In 2010 he was appointed adjunct professor in the field of surgery at Otto von Guericke University. On October 28, 2014, on the day it was founded, René Mantke was named Vice Dean for Research and Science as one of the initiators of the Brandenburg Medical School and is part of the three-person university management alongside Dean Dieter Nürnberg and Vice-Dean Wilfried Pommerien .
