Dieter Nuremberg

Dieter Nürnberg (born September 24, 1952 in Neuruppin ) is a German doctor and university professor. He has been the founding dean of the Brandenburg Medical School since October 28, 2014 . He was the chief physician of the Medical Clinic B with a focus on gastroenterology at the Ruppin Clinics .

Career

Dieter Nürnberg passed his Abitur in 1971 in Neuruppin . After completing his military service, he studied human medicine at the Humboldt University in Berlin from 1973 to 1979 . This was followed by specialist training in internal medicine at the Neuruppin District Hospital from 1979 to 1984 . From 1985 he interned at the Berlin Charité . In 1986 Nuremberg was appointed senior physician for gastroenterology and in 1991 chief physician for gastroenterology / oncology at the Medical Clinic B in Neuruppin. From 1998 to 2008 he was also chief physician for geriatrics at the Ruppiner clinics. In 1999 he was a co-founder of the Ruppin Hospice Association and thus co-initiator of the establishment of a hospice at the Ruppin Clinics. In 2008 he was appointed adjunct professor for internal medicine at the University of Rostock . As part of the founding of the Brandenburg Medical School, he was one of the most important organizers of the project and was appointed its first dean on October 28, 2014, the date the university was founded. With him, Vice-Deans Wilfried Pommerien and René Mantke form the three-person university management. On August 31, 2016, he ended his work as dean, but remains as professor of gastroenterology at the MHB.
