Ernst Albin Kock

Ernst Albin Kock (born December 6, 1864 in Åby Församling , Kalmar län ; † August 5, 1943 in Lund ) was a Swedish specialist in German .

Ernst A. Kock studied in Lund , went to Germany and England for three years to study and was then an assistant teacher in various places. In 1897 he received his doctorate in Lund and was then a lecturer in English.

In 1934 Kock was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Humboldt University in Berlin and a corresponding member of the Society of Sciences in Göttingen .

Kock was married twice: on December 6, 1894, he married Lilly Maria Edith Wells (born on May 5, 1868, in Rawalpindi, Punjab, India) and then on January 20, 1919, Elisabeth Johanna Stüwe (born on April 14, 1880, in Dresden, died on June 19, 1962 in Åmål).
