Renate Fischer (judge)

Renate Fischer (born August 16, 1963 in Munich ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Life

After completing her legal training, Renate Fischer entered the higher judicial service of the Free State of Bavaria in 1990. There she initially worked for the public prosecutor's office at the Regional Court of Munich I and was appointed public prosecutor for life in 1993. From January 1995 to March 1999, she was seconded as a research assistant to the Federal Prosecutor General at the Federal Court of Justice . She then became a judge at the Munich District Court . She worked there in private law disputes. In September 2001 she returned to the public prosecutor's office at the Munich District Court as a group leader. In August 2005 Renate Fischer became the presiding judge at the regional court. In May 2009 she became a judge at the Munich Higher Regional Court . She was an assessor at the Munich Higher Regional Court and was also appointed as deputy chairwoman of the 5th and 6th criminal senate. At the time of her appointment, Renate Fischer was taking part in the NSU trial before the Munich Higher Regional Court.

The Presidium of the Federal Court of Justice assigned Renate Fischer to the 1st Criminal Senate of the Federal Court of Justice .
