Motek
The Motek - International Trade Fair for Production and Assembly Automation (spelling MOTEK) takes place annually at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center. The company PE Schall GmbH & Co. KG organizes the fair. The event was held for the first time in 1981. Since 2015 there has also been a Motek in India in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt .

In addition to a trade fair for components and various presentations, detailed and system solutions are also presented.
The exhibition area is approx. 60,000 m². Around 35,000 trade visitors and over 1,000 exhibitors take part.
history
The fair first took place in Sindelfingen in 1982 . After the founding of Messe Sinsheim GmbH as a sister company of PE Schall KG in 1989, it was first held in Sinsheim in 1990 .
In 2007 Motek moved to the exhibition center in the south of the city at the airport in Stuttgart . The fair now had 40 percent additional exhibition space and around 200 more exhibiting companies. At the same time as Motek, the first Bondexpo - International Trade Fair for Adhesive Technology - took place at the new Stuttgart Exhibition Center .
At the 33rd event in 2014, in addition to the Bondexpo , Microsys , a technology park for micro and nanotechnology, took place in parallel for the first time . For the first time, the organizer and Handling magazine presented the “Handling Award for Motek”. From the point of view of the lenders, the awards are given to outstanding products and system solutions.
In 2015, the fair achieved a new record with 38,568 visitors and over 1,000 exhibitors.
The 35th Motek took place from October 10th to 13th, 2016 in Stuttgart.
