Renato Tosio (born November 16, 1964 in Wil ) is a former Swiss ice hockey goalkeeper . The trained structural draftsman began playing ice hockey at the age of eight at EHC Chur , for which he played for 15 years. He was in goal for SC Bern for another 14 years . He ended his career there in the 2000/01 season.

He was Swiss champion four times with SC Bern (1989, 1991, 1992 and 1997). His number 31 was blocked within the club after the end of his career, which means that no SC Bern player will ever wear the 31 again.

From 1987 he played 183 times for the Swiss national ice hockey team and was fourth at the 1992 World Cup in Prague.

During his professional years, Renato Tosio set an impressive record; From February 26, 1985 to March 20, 2001, he played 732 NLA games without ever missing a mission due to illness or injury.

On September 2, 2001, Tosio gave his farewell game in what was then Bern's ice stadium Allmend . Numerous former and active ice hockey players took part in this game.
