Rene Gabriella

Rene Gabri (* 1968 in Tehran ) is an Iranian -American video artist .

life and work

René Gabri was born in Tehran and lived in Athens and Los Angeles before moving to New York. In 1999 he graduated from the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art . He taught at the Università Iuav di Venezia and at the City University of New York . Together with Ayreen Anastas and and and and he was a participant in dOCUMENTA (13) . The book The Meaning of Everything, Vol. 1 by Ayreen Anastas and René Gabri was published in 2009 by the Paraguay Press in Paris.
