Pension service from Deutsche Post AG

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The pension service of Deutsche Post AG (spelling: Renten Service der Deutsche Post AG ; until 1995: pension billing center; until 2000: postal pension service center) pays out pensions to pensioners .

The payment of pensions from the statutory pension insurance has been the original task of the former pension accounting office since the 1890s. Later, the pension service took on further work as a service provider , so that in 2006 more than 25 million pensions were paid out to around 19 million pension recipients. Of these, over 1.4 million payments went abroad.

Client

Through Section 119, Book Six of the Social Code , Deutsche Post AG is expressly authorized by the legislator to pay out the pensions from the statutory pension insurance. In addition, the pension service offers itself as a service company.

The payment is made for the German pension insurance , for the state pension institutions, z. B. VBL , the ZVK of the former Deutsche Bundespost and its successor companies and for various providers of private company pensions. In addition, pensions from statutory accident insurance are paid out by various providers. In addition, the Austrian pension insurance institutions make payments to recipients abroad via the Deutsche Post AG pension service.

Pension payment

In the past, the pensions were mostly paid out in cash by the post office or the postman (postal carrier ). As more and more people opened a personal current account , efforts were made to ensure that cashless payment became established.

service

As a service provider, the pension service takes over the pension payment, pension adjustment, inventory maintenance, company pension administration, allowance administration ( Riester pension ) and the creation of statistics. The service provider is no longer responsible for changes of name or address, changes to the credit account , deaths, etc. , but the pension service. Around 2.7 million data changes are made each year. The changes are transmitted to the service providers in a machine-processed form so that the changes are also known there.

Notification of changes and requests

Application forms are available in every post office. However, it is also possible to submit the applications online.

To make it easier to deregister from pension payments, undertakers can also fax the death notices to the Pension Service using a special form.
