The reserve flotilla was subordinate to the North Sea Marine Division until 1974 , then to the newly established North Sea Marine Section Command , and was led by a commander with the rank of frigate captain . It consisted of an active staff and non-active equipment units, which were the material responsibility of the naval arsenals. In addition, the establishment of non-active association and unit staffs was planned in advance. These included:
- 10th Mine Sweeping Squadron (10th MGschw)
- 2nd landing squadron (2nd LG)
- LCM company (16 LCM)
The staff was based on the Wilhelmshaven Wiesbaden Bridge , which also served as the main berth for the flotilla.
tasks
The reserve flotilla was responsible for all tasks related to the management of the equipment units and the preparation for reactivation. Her staff kept the material records and alarm records of the subordinate squadron staff and equipment units, and administered their service regulations, which had to be returned to board when reactivated. He also supported the preparation of the handover of ships and boats to be preserved and their regular inspection of the condition. He was responsible for preparing the personnel and material measures for taking over depreserved ships / boats from the naval arsenals by military personnel in the event of an alarm and for putting them into service. This included, among other things, the monitoring of the training of the reactivated ships and boats up to the readiness inspection.
