Residence of Kang Baiwan

The residence of Kang Baiwan ( Chinese  康 百万 庄园 , Pinyin Kāng Bǎiwàn zhuāngyuán , English Kang Baiwan's Mansions ) is the estate (Chinese zhuangyuan ) of the Kang Baiwan family from the Qing Dynasty east of Luoyang not far from the Yellow River ( Huang He). The buildings date from the 17th and 18th centuries and are a fortified residential complex typical of the loess plateau from that time.

You are in the area of ​​the urban district Gongyi ( 巩义 市 ), which belongs to the administrative area of ​​the district-free city of Zhengzhou , Henan Province , People's Republic of China . The complex comprises a total of 39 courtyards and more than 1,300 rooms as well as 73 cave houses on a total area of ​​64,300 square meters.

Together with the Liu Wencai family estates in Sichuan Province and the Mou family in Shandong Province , it is one of the Three Great Estates in China (Quanguo san da zhuangyuan 全国 三大 庄园 ).

The residence of Kang Baiwan has been on the List of Monuments of Henan Province since 1963 and on the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2001 (5-340).
