The UN General Assembly resolution 46/86 was passed on December 16, 1991 by the UN General Assembly during its 46th session. With it, the controversial Resolution 3379 , which condemned Zionism as a form of racism and placed Israel on a par with South Africa during apartheid and Rhodesia , was withdrawn.

The text of the resolution was:

The general assembly decides to revoke the determination contained in its resolution 3379 (XXX) of 10 November 1975. (" The general assembly decides to withdraw the resolution contained in its resolution 3379 (XXX) of 10 November 1975. ")

The resolution was passed by 111 votes to 25, with 13 abstentions.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry states that Israel made its participation in the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference conditional on the withdrawal of Resolution 3379.
