The Resurrectionists ( Latin : Congregatio a Resurrectione DNJ Christi , order abbreviation : CR ) are a Roman Catholic religious community . It was founded on February 17, 1836 by the Pole Bogdan Jański in Paris and has over 450 members worldwide.

The community was founded out of concern for the spiritual needs of people who, from an inner turmoil and distance from God, longed for home, house, security and fulfillment of meaning. Bogdan Jański, Hieronym Kajsiewicz and Piotr Semenenko , who are considered to be the founders of the religious community, had the goal of resisting the materialism and hedonism prevalent in society and paving the way to the Gospel of Christ through work in the parishes and through youth education demonstrate.

The Resurrectionists are a Catholic religious order under papal law. They consist of consecrated and non-consecrated members of both Latin and Oriental rites .

Branches

The head office ( generalate ) of the order is in Rome . All provinces and branches are subordinate to the superior general in Rome. The administration of the Order is divided into three independent provinces (Polish Province, American Province, Canadian Province).

The order is represented in 15 countries around the world. The area of ​​responsibility includes upbringing and educational work for young people and adults as well as missionary work and pastoral care.
