Robert Joseph Kurtz

Robert Joseph Kurtz CR (born July 25, 1939 in Chicago ) is a Roman Catholic religious and emeritus bishop of Hamilton in Bermuda on the British Bermuda Islands.

Life

Robert Joseph Kurtz joined the order of the Resurrectionists and was ordained a priest on March 11, 1967 . From 1981 to 1993 he was Superior General of the Resurrectionists.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Hamilton in Bermuda on June 1, 1995 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Trinidad and Tobago , Eugenio Sbarbaro , donated him episcopal ordination on September 15 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Brian Leo John Hennessy CR, Old Bishop of Hamilton in Bermuda, and Nino Marzoli CR, Auxiliary Bishop in Santa Cruz de la Sierra .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on June 13, 2015.
