Wiesław Śpiewak CR (born October 19, 1963 in Krakow , Poland ) is a Polish religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Hamilton in Bermuda .

Life

Wiesław Śpiewak joined the Congregation of Resurrectionists at and received on 19 May 1990, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

From 1990 to 1992 Śpiewak deputy was rain of the Minor Seminary of Resurrectionists in Poznan , after which he worked as secretary of the provincial leadership and in the pastoral care of vocations in Warsaw and Krakow, completed a postgraduate course at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome and directed the missionary center in Mszana Górna .

From 1997 to 2010 he was assigned various tasks in the General Curia of the Resurrectionists in Rome. From 1998 to 2014 he was postulator general responsible for the beatification and canonization processes of his order. From 2010 to 2015 he was Provincial of the Polish Province of his Order. From 2013 he was a member of the leadership of the Conference of Major Superiors of Male Orders in Poland ( Konferencja Wyższych Przełożonych Zakonów Męskich w Polsce ).

Pope Francis appointed Wiesław Śpiewak Bishop of Hamilton in Bermuda on June 13, 2015 . The episcopal ordination received his his predecessor Robert Joseph Kurtz CR on 1 October of that year, the feast of the diocese of saint Therese of Lisieux . Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio to the West Indies , Archbishop Nicolas Girasoli , and the Archbishop of Nassau , Patrick Christopher Pinder .
