Dirk Revenstorf

Dirk Revenstorf (born May 29, 1939 in Hamburg ) is a German psychologist and psychotherapist .

Life

Revenstorf was Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Tübingen until his retirement in 2004 . He is director of the Academy of the Milton-Erickson Society for clinical hypnosis in Tübingen . He worked in Munich at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry and at universities in California, Israel and Mexico.

Revenstorf gives seminars on couples therapy , hypnosis , dream , behavior therapy and the use of affect and in psychotherapy in Europe, China and Latin America. He is a founding member of the German-Chinese Academy for Psychotherapy and worked as a teaching therapist in this context.

Services

His scientific commitment in the field of hypnosis, especially through a very large number of publications, has made a decisive contribution to the 'renaissance' and reputation of hypnosis and hypnotherapy in German-speaking countries.

  • 2003 Milton Erickson Prize.
