Rewel Bikes is a bicycle manufacturer in which titanium bicycles are largely manufactured. The company became known for building the fastest bike in the world in 1993, which broke the world record at the time.

history

Foundation and development

In 1982 the mechanical engineering technician Werner Pichler welded his first bicycle frame and on November 17, 1986 he founded the sole proprietorship Rewel Bikes in a backyard in Bolzano . Titan frames are still 100% handcrafted here today.

The fastest bike in the world

In 1993 the two South Tyroleans built "the fastest bike in the world" . Raimund Weissensteiner drove this for the TV show Wetten, dass ..? down a ski slope at 122 km / h and set a new world record. Ten months later, at 127 km / h, he improved the record in the Italian version of the television program.
