Reyhan Yıldırım

Reyhan Yıldırım (born December 11, 1987 ) is a German comic artist and comic author who works in the manga style .

Reyhan Yıldırım's parents come from Turkey and work in the catering trade. At the age of 17, Yıldırım published her first professional work Die Mangafreaks in the German anthology Manga Fieber along with six contributions by other cartoonists. In 2008 she presented her first own volume, Tylsim, at the Leipzig Book Fair , which sold over 3,500 copies in the first few months after publication. In August 2008 she was “Draftsman of the Month” at Mangaka.de, one of the largest internet sites in the German manga scene. At that time it was announced that a Russian translation of Tylsim will be published in Russia . She names Akira Toriyama , Takeshi Obata and Keiko Ishiyama as her role models . She has been publishing her latest works with Pyramond- Verlag since 2017 .

She was also the drummer for the J-rock band Foocha . Yıldırım lives in Brühl .
