Reykjanes is a place in the Vestfirðir region in northwest Iceland and belongs to the rural municipality of Súðavík .

Reykjanes is located on the Ísafjarðardjúp fjord on the very tip of a narrow headland.
history
From 1774 to 1793, salt was extracted from the sea in Reykjanes; In 1933, the German Ernst Fresenius used the natural heat available in Reykjanes for growing fruit and vegetables. There is now a year-round hotel in Reykjanes.
