The Gleirschtaler Brandjoch is 2372 m above sea level. A. high, double-peaked mountain in the north chain in the Karwendel north over the Arzler Scharte .
Approaches
The ascent leads with rope insurance from the Mandlscharte in difficulty level UIAA I to the southern summit ( 2374 m above sea level ). There you will find the Melzerknappen memorial, inaugurated in 1960, and a little below a refuge. The Mandlscharte can be reached via the Goetheweg from the Hafelekar station of the Nordkettenbahn or via the Pfeishütte . The further route to the north summit runs directly over the ridge UIAA I (not insured). From the grassy Hochsattel Niederbrandjoch below the north summit, an alternative way back through the gravel ridge to the Mandlscharte is possible (climbing tracks).
