The Arzler Scharte is a 2158 m above sea level. A. high saddle in the Inntal range of the Karwendel north of Innsbruck in Tyrol . Seen from the Inn valley , it is the most striking indentation of the mountain range called Nordkette . It is named after the Arzl district of Innsbruck .
Location and surroundings
The Arzler Scharte lies between the Gleirschtaler Brandjoch ( 2374 m above sea level ) in the north-west and the Rumer Spitze ( 2454 m above sea level ) in the east. To the west is the Mandlspitze ( 2366 m above sea level ) and the Mandlscharte between the Mandlspitze and the Gleirschtaler Brandjoch . In the north lies the Samertal , a side valley of the Gleirschtal , which drains into the Isar to the north . A wide rubble-covered gully stretches to the south, the Arzler Reise . In the course of the way it becomes narrower and narrower and finally ends in the Mühlauer Bach , which flows into the Mühlauer Klamm .
The Arzler Scharte belongs to the municipality of Innsbruck, a large part of the Arzler trip to the municipality of Rum .

A marked hiking trail leads through the Arzler Reise up to the Arzler Scharte. To the northeast, this path continues to 1922 m above sea level. A. high-altitude Pfeishütte . About the Mandlscharte and Goetheweg the station is Hafelekar the Nordkettenbahn reach. The Rumerspitze is climbed from the Arzler Scharte over the west ridge.
The ascent via the Arzler Reise is done as a ski tour in winter and spring .
