The Hafelekarspitze is 2334 m above sea level. A. high summit of the Nordkette north of Innsbruck .
Location and landscape
To the west below the summit is the Hafelekar mountain station of the second section of the Nordkettenbahn at an altitude of 2269 m above sea level. A. , from where the Hafelekarspitze can be reached in a few minutes via a paved path.
Not far away is the Hafelekar measuring station , a radiation observatory at the University of Innsbruck , the only one of its kind in Austria.

In summer, the Hafelekarspitze is the starting point for mountain hikes and tours via the Goetheweg to the Gleirschspitze , to the Mandlspitze ( 2366 m above sea level ), the Gleirschtaler Brandjoch or to the Rumer Spitze . At the eastern end of the Goetheweg there is the Pfeishütte north below the Rumer Spitze, which offers itself as a base on the long way over the Wilde Bande-Steig to the Lafatscher Joch ( 2081 m above sea level ) and to the Hallerangerhaus . In winter, a ski route leads from the mountain station to the Seegrube ( 1905 m above sea level ), the center of the ski area on the Nordkette.
