Rheinhöhenlauf

The Rheinhöhenlauf is a running event in northern Rhineland-Palatinate . The run always takes place on the penultimate weekend in September. The routes lead almost entirely over paved forest paths through the border area between Westerwald and Siebengebirge . The organization extends from catering and clothing transport to live music along the way and a raffle. The proceeds from the event will go to the Friends of the Franziskus Hospital Linz am Rhein.

Competitions

  • 50 km - 3 stages - 1000 m ascent from Friday to Sunday
  • 7.5 km - everyone / woman run on Saturday
  • 7.5 km - team competition (3 starters) on Saturday

A half marathon was also offered up to 2017.

The Rheinhöhenlauf half marathon was part of the Siebengebirgs-Cup, which consisted of four runs in the Siebengebirge / Westerwald region:

Since the half marathon of the Rheinhöhenlauf is no longer offered, it has been replaced by the Hennef Europalauf.
