Rhoda Sutherland

Rhoda Sutherland (born 1907 in Atherstone ; † January 6, 1989 ) was a British Romance philologist .

life and work

Rhoda Clarke graduated from Nuneaton High School for Girls in 1925 . In 1929 she became a lecturer, then tutor, and in 1935 a fellow at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. In 1938 she married the Oxford librarian Donald Sutherland. In 1971 she retired.
