Rhodes Bluff is an exposed escarpment that forms the northwestern end of the Enterprise Hills in West Antarctica . It is located about 3.2 kilometers northwest of Mount Dolence , and the Union Glacier extends north and east .

Rhodes Bluff was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the Enterprise Hills survey in 1961-66 through field surveys and aerial photographs by the United States Navy . It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after Lieutenant Joseph J. Rhodes of the Civil Engineer Corps of the US Navy, who directed the maintenance program at McMurdo Station during the 1966 winter expedition.
