Kerstin Radtke Buchfelner
Kerstin Radtke Buchfelner (born April 13, 1965 in Erfurt ), also known under the name Kerstin Radtke , is a German jazz and pop singer .
Life
After graduating from high school, she studied singing at the Liszt School of Music Weimar . In 1982 she founded the Prinzz group together with Jens Hellmann (bass guitar), Thomas Feiler (guitar), Karl-Heinz Schüller (keyboard) and Gerrit Penssler (drums) . The music was influenced by the " Neue Deutsche Welle ". This was followed by radio productions, which were able to place in the top area of the GDR charts . The Prinzzen also worked as a backing band for Heinz-Jürgen Gottschalk until his departure in 1985. Approx. In 1987 the group renamed itself Blitzz and changed their musical style in the direction of heavy metal .
Since 1996 she has been a singer in the Weimar band Rest of Best , which has become known both as a dance and show band and through stage concerts at festivals. A specialty of the band are their four-part a cappella arrangements of well-known rock and pop songs. The group played in many European countries, the USA, China, Japan, for example at the Olympic Games in Nagano , Salt Lake City , Turin and Beijing , made television productions for ZDF , RTL , SAT1 , MDR , SFB , ORB , SWR , 3sat , Deutsche Welle and SDR and has appeared at concerts with the Rattles , Rubettes , Jennifer Rush , Weather Girls , Middle Of The Road , Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich , Boney M , Die Fantastischen Vier , Touché , La Bouche , Ted Herold , The Tremeloes , Chris Andrews , The Lords , Karat and Veronika Fischer .
Kerstin Buchfelner has also been singing regularly since 1997 in the soul and jazz band Holger-Arndt-Connexion and since 2008 with the Nerly Big Band .
She lives with her son in Erfurt and teaches singing privately and at the MusicArtSchool there . Yvonne Catterfeld was one of her students .
