The Union Glacier is a large, highly rugged glacier that is fed by several tributaries and flows through the middle of the Heritage Range , part of the Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica . The glacier extends west of the Edson Hills and flows east into Constellation Inlet between Pioneer Heights and Enterprise Hills . The Union Glacier was mapped by the US Geological Survey (USGS) and US Navy aerial photographs from 1961 to 1966. The name was given by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in connection with the naming of the Heritage Range. It is about 86 km long and on average about 9 km wide.
