Rhopalon
Rhopalon ( Gr. Ῥόπαλον) referred to a club in the ancient Greek language. This could consist of both wood (Greek ῥόπαλον ξύλων = wooden club ) and iron (Greek ῥόπαλον παγχάλκεον = mace ). In particular, Heracles ' club , which he carved himself, was called the rhopalone. Later, images and sculptures of Heracles were also called Rhopals.
