The Rhyolite Islands are a group of islands and skerries that extend over a length of about 6.5 km in an east-west direction off the Rymill coast in the west of the Antarctic Palmerland opposite the north side of the mouth of the Eureka Glacier in the George VI -Sund distribute.
They were geodetically surveyed in 1948 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey , which named them after the rhyolite rock from which the islands mainly consist.
